Data Center Facilities Technician

Trevor Hoernke serves as a Data Center Facilities Technician at Data Holdings, where he ensures the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the facility’s critical infrastructure. With over a decade of experience in environmental operations, water management, and facilities maintenance, Trevor brings a unique blend of technical expertise and environmental insight to the team.

In his role, Trevor is responsible for maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems that support Data Holdings’ operations. He monitors environmental conditions, supports preventative maintenance programs, and works closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless performance and client onboarding. His attention to detail and proactive approach help support the high standards required to maintain consistent uptime and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Data Holdings, Trevor held multiple roles with the City of Milwaukee, including Environmental Engineering Technician, Public Works Inspector focusing on green infrastructure, and Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator. He also served as Director of Maintenance at St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care. His background in large-scale infrastructure and environmental systems provides a strong foundation for maintaining reliable and compliant data center operations.

Trevor holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from St. Cloud State University and is passionate about sustainability, resource management, and continuous improvement in infrastructure systems.

Outside of work, Trevor serves as the Head Rugby Coach at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. An avid athlete, he has also played lacrosse and hockey. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends.
